How we compare Cash ISAs
CashISA.com aims to make it easier to understand and compare Cash ISA accounts. We focus on presenting useful information about interest rates, access restrictions and account features in a clear, straightforward way.
Our comparison tool uses account information supplied by DepositScout to help visitors explore Cash ISA rates and features. It covers a selection of accounts within DepositScout's dataset and should not be treated as a comprehensive comparison of the entire UK market.
Understanding how we compare Cash ISAs helps you make informed savings decisions. We explain where our rates come from, how accounts are selected and ranked, and the limitations of our comparisons.
Where does our information come from?
We use publicly available information from banks, building societies and official UK sources, including HMRC and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
We aim to keep our information accurate and useful, but savings rates, account conditions and tax rules can change. Always confirm the latest details directly with the provider before opening an account.
How do we compare accounts?
When comparing Cash ISAs, we consider more than the advertised interest rate. Important factors include whether the rate is fixed or variable, withdrawal restrictions, minimum deposits and any conditions attached to the account.
We also explain the differences between easy-access, fixed-rate and notice Cash ISAs, helping visitors understand which features may be relevant to their circumstances. If you're new to tax-free savings, read our guide to what a Cash ISA is before comparing accounts.
Accounts are currently displayed in descending order of advertised Annual Equivalent Rate (AER).
The highest interest rate does not necessarily make an account the most suitable choice, particularly where access restrictions, minimum deposits or other conditions apply.
How we select the accounts we display
We aim to make comparing Cash ISAs simple by showing up to five accounts in each of four categories: Easy Access, 1 Year Fixed, 2 Year Fixed and 5 Year Fixed.
Accounts are selected from our available comparison data and ordered by Annual Equivalent Rate (AER), with the highest rates displayed first.
Our rate information is supplied through DepositScout. We aim to refresh this information at least every 24 hours and will not display rates that exceed our permitted data age.
Our comparisons are not exhaustive and may not include every Cash ISA available in the UK. Interest rates are only one consideration, so we encourage visitors to review withdrawal restrictions, minimum deposits, transfer conditions and provider terms before making a decision.
How is CashISA.com funded?
CashISA.com is independently operated. We may introduce advertising or affiliate links in the future to help cover the costs of running the website.Where commercial relationships exist, we aim to identify them clearly. We do not currently charge visitors to access our guides.
Keeping information up to date
We review our guides periodically and aim to identify when rate information was last updated. However, we cannot guarantee that every rate or account condition reflects the latest information available. If you notice something that appears incorrect or out of date, please contact us so we can review it.
